Your CCSM™ Certification valid for 3 years and to continue your qualification, you have to Recertify. Recertification implies making your CCSM™ credential valid again before its validity expires in 3 years. Keeping your CCSM™ alive and active through recertification is easy. There will be frequent reminder emails and text messages from GSQI and from other GSQI partners associated with you and you simply have to click the links mentioned in these communications, or log into your GSQI account and register for CCSM™ recertification. Remember, training is NOT mandatory for recertification and you have to only register and complete some documentary formalities. How many times can you Re-certify for CCSM™
GSQI permits unlimited number of recertification chances for CCSM™ and your CCSM™ qualification can expire only if it has not been “refreshed” once in three years. However, after two years of your CCSM™ award, you may well consider upgrading to the Team Lead certification – the CCSL™ - the leader-level certification. You will receive frequent reminders from GSQI and other GSQI partners on this and there are exciting upgrade offers, which you can grab and get fee discounts.
When to apply for a Re-certification for CCSM™
You should apply for recertification at least 8 weeks prior to the date of expiry of your CCSM™ certification. This date is mentioned on your CCSM™ as well. In addition, you receive frequent reminders from GSQI to this effect. Remember, if your CCSM™ recertification application is NOT received by GSQI till two weeks before the expiry of your certification, your recertification request will be only processed as a fresh CCSM™ application and you will have to pay the applicable full CCSM™ fee.
How to Recertify for CCSM™
Recertification for CCSM™ is a simple 3-step process:
- Step 1: Register for your CCSM™ recertification program
recertification directly with GSQI on one of the GSQI portals or take the assistance of the training provider with whom you prepared for CCSM™ the last time or any of the authorized GSQI training providers nearest to you. Once you register and pay the required fee, you will receive the CCSM™ recertification Voucher and all other relevant information about document submission etc. You can pay for your recertification on the GSQI portal either directly through your credit/ debit card or buy a recertification voucher from your local authorized GSQI training provider. Remember there are no PCC or training requirements and hence, you may directly qualify for the CCSM™ recertification after completing the recertification formalities as mentioned in Step 2 below. Once you have applied for a CCSM™ recertification, you are required to complete the following GSQI-prescribed formalities after logging into your account:
- Submission of your latest Curriculum Vitae in the format available on the CCSM™ Recertification section of the GSQI portal.
- Complete the Online Customer Service Experience Report documenting key aspects of your learnings and achievements since attaining the CCSM™ certification as instructed.
- Request your direct senior or the reporting officer (Referee) to submit a Confidential Work-Performance Report for you in the prescribed format. This is done online by your referee by logging in directly into the GSQI assessment portal.
- Step 3: Get the Certification Decision
You are there now. If you qualify all prescribed GSQI norms on Knowledge and Competence Prerequisites and all required documentation requirements are complete, your CCSM™ credential stands reactivated for another one year and your new CCSM™ Credential Pack reaches you in 30 days maximum.
